How to record your Putty Terminal session in RHEL?


In this article, we’re going to look How to record your Putty terminal session in RHEL machines.

Just in a simple way,

Open a new Putty terminal and run below command to start recording,

# script -t 2> timing.log -a ouput.session

t – Dump the timing data to STDERR

2> – To redirect the STDERR to timing.log

To stop the recording press crtl+d keys.

To play the recorded content run below command,

# scriptreplay timing.log output.session

It’s very easy to save your time to review the tasks which was performed on the server.
